Asplenium antiquum

£18.50Price

Asplenium antiquum aka Bird's Nest Fern is one of our favourite indoor plants.  Unlike ground-dwelling ferns, this epiphytic (tree dwelling) fern is easy to care for and tolerates low humidity.

Aspleniums need very bright, indirect light for most of the day, but they appreciate some early morning or late afternoon sunshine.

It's important to water directly into the compost around the outside of the plant, not directly into the central cup as this can rot the new fronds.

It's best to keep the plant in its plastic nursery pot.  We do not recommend planting directly into decorative pots as they don't provide drainage.

The plant is sold in its plastic nursery pot, but you can add either of the pots shown.

Asplenium antiquum in plastic nursery pot - 17cm diameter pot, plant is approx 60cm tall including the height of the pot

Concrete pot - 19cm external diameter, 17cm internal diameter

Black Bali pot - 24cm external diameter
