We predict this Begonia 'Benigo' will be the next must-have houseplant on the market. We've been able to grab a handful of these intriguing plants for our online shop. This cane species of Begonia has spectacular foliage that is just jaw dropping. The deep red hues to the underside of the leaves, to the silvery pink feature spots that are set on a deep green almost black leaf. This a super fun, easy plant to grow.
Give your Begonia bright, filtered light. It should be sheltered away from any direct sun. As a cane species they aren't as demanding for water. Allow at least half the medium to dry out regularly, you may find it a bit thirstier in the summer months. To keep its upright growth you may need to provide some support with bamboo canes. If grown in the right conditions, your Begonia will reward you with delicate pink flowers. But as this species has been cultivated, the flowers are sterile.
Although you can't grow this Begonia from seed, they are easy to propagate! Just take a cutting of one of the main stems and place into water. This Begonia goes by the fitting common name, Pink Polka Dot Begonia or Dragonwing Begonia!
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from our Pot Collection. We've styled this Begonia 'Benigo' with our small black Bali pot and our XS Raw stone pot. Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
