Caladium ‘Miss Muffet’
Caladium are very striking and highly sought-after houseplants. They are tuberous plants that only grow foliage from spring to autumn. They also require very high humidity, and they have absolutely no cold tolerance.
Caladium do best with lots of heat, bright but indirect light, and plenty of humidity. Even under the best conditions, caladiums will only last a few months before their leaves start to die back and the plant goes dormant again. When they die back, save the tubers in a bag and replant next year, or keep the tubers in the pot and keep the pot somewhere above 10 degrees celcius over winter.
It's best to keep the plant in its plastic nursery pot. We do not recommend planting directly into decorative pots as they don't provide drainage.
The plant is sold in its plastic nursery pot, but you can add either of the pots shown.
