Ficus lyrata is more commonly known as Fiddle-leaf fig & can be found growing native to western Africa in lowland tropical rainforests. They are an extremely attractive tree, sporting large glossy leaves with yellow veins.
Ficus can cause some trouble to indoor growers but once given the right environment will surprise you with how easy they are to grow. Give your Ficus bright, indirect light. It should be sheltered away from any direct sun. Although from tropical regions they should suffice with average room humidity but be mindful of any crisping leaves. Water your Ficus when the medium is feeling dry half way through. They do not like soggy medium.
What makes Ficus challenging to some can be the sudden leaf drop that can happen when the plant is stressed. Keep your Ficus away from any draughts, be mindful not to brush past it & try not to move your plant around. They like to become established to a spot & left there. Over winter avoid any radiators & cold windows.

All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from the drop down menu or head over to our Pot Collection. Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
