This unusual vining, tropical succulent is very easy to grow & is native to the Philippines. Hoya are more commonally known as Wax plant or Porcelain flower due to their tough leaves and clusters of star-like flowers.
The Wayetti has narrow, pod like leaves that are on the succulent side. They are an epiphytic plant, meaning they are growing on a tree or rocky surface. Because of this they are not too demanding when it comes to watering.
Allow half the medium to dry out regulary. If underwatered you will notice the fleshy leaves looking puckered. Give the plant a thorough watering to replace the moisture lost - only do this is if your plant is dehydrated. When actively growing & when in bloom you should water more frequently. Hoyas grow best when given bright, indirect light or dappled sunlight. The leaves may darken in colour if sun-stressed.
To promote flowering, keep the plant-root bound and provide the most ideal conditions you can. Hoyas bloom throughout spring and summer. Once flowering has finished, it's best not to cut cut the peduncle (flower stem) as this is where more blooms will emerge in following years.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from the our Pot Collection. Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
