Monstera adansonii
Part of the Swiss Cheese family, you can spot the similarities within this group by the natural holes the leaves produce. Monstera adansonii has a more traditional vine growth, and is usually grown as a trailing plant.
The Swiss Cheese vine, has slightly smaller leaf growth compared to it's cousin, the Monstera deliciosa. However, if you grow your Adansonii up a moss pole you can encourage quicker vine growth and large leaf form.
Monstera adansonii are an easy houseplant to care for. Being an epiphyte (a plant that grows on another plant), they require plenty of oxygen to enter their roots. Allow at least half the medium to be dry before watering again. Give your Adansonii bright filtered light, either morning or late afternoon sun. They will tolerate partial shade, but you will notice a slower growth rate.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from our Pot Collection.
We've styled the Monstera in it's 12cm nursery pot with our small DK Cement pots and our XS bronze Bali pot. They will also fit into our small Just hanging baskets.
Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
