Philodendron imperial red
The Imperial Red is one of the most striking aroids. New growth emerges a deep burgandy colour, then as the plant matures the leaves revert to a glossy, dark green. Unlike the climbing philodendrons, this species has a more compact growth and shape.
Give your imperial red bright, filtered light. Your Philodendron will appreciate morning or late afternoon, but should be protected from midday and early afternoon sunshine. You need to allow at least half the medium to dry out between waterings. Philodendrons dislike a soggy root system.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from our Pot Collection - imperial red in its 27cm diameter nursery pot, will fit our XXL Bali Pots, or our XXL Raw Stone Pot.
Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better to keep the plant in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
