The Philodedron squamiferum is an attractive houseplant to indoor growers due to the distictive fuzzy, red petioles that join the leaf to the main stem. This species also sports large, unusually shaped glossy leaves making this a real showstopper plant.
Grow your Squarmiferum in bright, filtered light. Shelter the foliage away from any direct sun. Morning or evening sun is tolerable. Allow at least half the medium to be dry before you water again. You can keep it slightly drier in winter. But be careful not to allow it to completely dry out.
Wild Leaf tip: as this plant is a natural climber, give your Squamiferum a moss pole for quicker & larger leaf growth. But don't repot until spring.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your style pot from our Pot Collection. Squamiferum in its 19cm nursery pot, fits our large Bali pots, as well as our large Almada pot and large Raw Stone pot.
Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
