Rhipsalis paradoxa XL
Rhipsalis paradoxa is a fascinating plant that makes a statement in any space. Paradoxa is part of the cactus family but grows epiphytically (in the trees) in the subtropical rainforests of Brazil. This is an extremely easy and rewarding plant to grow indoors.
Hang or place your Rhipsalis in bright, indirect light or partial shade. Keep away from direct sun. If the plant receives too much intense light it can darken in appreance and the stems can scorch. Over the growing season you'll be surprise how thirsty jungle cacti can be. Allow an inch to half the medium to dry out on a regular basis. Over winter withhold from watering until the compost is nearly completely dry. They don't like to be cold and wet during their dormancy.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately - you can head over to our Pot Collection. Paradoxa in its 20cm nursery pot, fits our XL Bali pots, as well as our XL Almada Pot and our XL Raw Stone Pot. Sit paradoxa on a shelf in one of our decorative pots, or hang it using its plastic hanger (the hanger can be removed).
Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better for your plant to keep it in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
