Scindapsus pictus argyraeus
Scindapsus pictus argyraeus is more commonly known as Satin Pothos. The leaves have a striking silvery variegation produced by air pockets between the layers of leaf cells. The air pockets help to reflect the light in the shady conditions of south east Asian forests.
The Argyraeus can be distinguished by its growth habit. Compared to its cousin, the argyraeus will put more energy into vine growth. It will also have smaller leaf growth and has a more speckled variegation. Have you seen our other species of Scindapsus?
Scindapsus is a tree climbing epiphyte and can be found chilling up in the canopy. They grow best in semi-shaded positions. Keep your Scindapsus out of any direct sun in summer. As an epiphyte they don't mind their medium drying out about half way through. If your Scindapsus is dehydrated you may notice the leaves begin to curl inward.
All plants are sold in their nursery pots. Decorative pots are sold seperately. You can choose your pot from our Pot Collection. You have the option to hang your Scindapsus or place it in a decorative pot on a shelf. We've styled the Argyraeus with our large DK Bucket pot.
Do not pot directly into our decorative pots. It's much better to keep your plant in its nursery pot to allow adequate drainage.
